English as a Second Language (ESL)

The great city of Parramatta is known for its cultural diversity but do you have friends or family who feel uncomfortable communicating in English? Maybe we can help. We hold classes for adults that run during school terms. A small weekly fee is charged to covers the costs of materials used in class.

If your friend or family member comes from a Chinese-language speaking background they should join us on Thursdays at 10:00 am in the hall complex. Classes are graded as beginner, intermediate and advanced. We're always pleased to welcome new-comers. No need to book.

Does your friend or family member speak Farsi and would like to know more English? Join us on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00 am in the hall complex.  Bookings appreciated.

 ANGLICARE Street Outreach Program

The warden's cottage, which is located in the cathedral grounds, has been the site of the ANGLICARE Child, Youth and Family Services Street Outreach program since 2001.The program works with disadvantaged and/or homeless young people aged 12 - 25 years. It provides basic needs such as food and clothing to youth in crisis, first-level counselling and life-skills support.

If you would like to donate basic toiletry items, tinned or packets of food, please deposit in the barrels at the back of the cathedral on Monday to Fridays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
