A Marriage Coaching Seminar called "Growing Together": This highly regarded and helpful one-day coursehelps couples to learn about themselves and their partners and about effective ways of communicating, handling conflict, coping with change and growing together in marriage.It is conducted by the Anglican Counselling Centre (independent of St John's) and meets on a Saturday in a neighbouring suburb.The course costs $187 per couple. You need JavaScript enabled to view it > A ‘Christianity Explained’ course: This is a course designed to explore what the Christian faithoffers to life and marriage. As you attend as an engaged couple you will discover what Christiansbelieve and how your relationship with God affects your marriage. Meetings with the Minister: The minister who will take your wedding will map out a wedding preparation timetable with you. Right from the beginning we will do ourvery best to make sure that you are completely prepared when your wedding day comes around! Certificates: All registration and paper work, including a wedding certificate is provided. Rehearsal: The church building will be available for the bridal party to rehearse with the minister at an agreed time. Car Parking: The church car park will be available to use for the rehearsal and on your wedding day. Organist: Our organist will be available to play at your wedding. He will meet with you prior to your wedding to assist you in choosing music. Sound System: Our professional sound system may be used to play recorded music on your wedding day. Flowers: Appropriate flowers in the church are provided for the wedding (extra flowers are permitted at your own cost). Pew ribbons: Ribbons for the end of the pews are provided for the wedding.
Regular attendance atour Sunday Church service is encouraged for all couples getting married at St John's.As you can see, couples will need to plan well ahead to benefit from a wedding at St. John’s. It is wise to book ahead at least 12 months in advance. In normal circumstances, we do not accept bookings under three months.
